Governors Introduction

Here at The King's we have a wonderful opportunity as a Church of England secondary school to embrace all faiths and cultures. The Christian ethos permeates all of our work and our thoughts and we celebrate unity in diversity of those of Christian faith, those of other faith and those of no faith. Our students work together in a school which seeks excellence in all areas. In this environment, our students flourish together and develop respect and understanding for each other, preparing for their adult lives in moderin Britain. Visitors to the school comment on the warmth of welcome and the calm, harmonious atmosphere around the school and the focussed attitude of our students.

We are immensely proud of our school community which works with a unity of purpose to establish The King's as a flagship school. Our school population is growing, which is a testament to our reputation. We regard the school as a community hub and our students work in and with the local community as part of a rounded development approach. We are particularly proud that all subjects on the curriculum are taught by specialist teachers.

Academically, we have a structured approach which starts in Year 7 and is reinforced throughout our childrens' time here; this approach combines effective learning for all with maintaining concern for the individual.

Although we take great pride in our high achievers, we are particularly proud that all of our students leave school with sound qualifications on which to build their future. We have the highest proportion of students continuing in education and employment in the district.
